Ampem Darkoa Ladies Beat Northern Ladies 2-1 In NC Special Competition


Reigning National Women’s League (NWL) champions Ampem Darkoa Ladies began their quest to annex the Normalisation Committee’s Special Women’s competition title with a 2-1 win over Northern ladies at the Valley View University Park in Techiman.

The epic encounter which was tagged as the match of the round lived up to its billing as the rock-solid Northern Ladies led by 2018 FIFA World Cup golden boot winner and skipper of the Black Maidens Mukarama Abdulai gave the host a good run for their money.

Although playing at home, Ampem Darkoa Ladies had little to show as they were matched boot for boot by the visitors in all aspect of the game.
