Hearts Of Oak Beat Dreams FC 2-1 To Clinch S.T. Memorial Cup

Accra Hearts of Oak lifted its first trophy under new coach Kim Grant on Sunday after beating fellow Ghana Premier League Side Dreams FC in the S.T NETTEY MEMORIAL CUP played at the Accra sports stadium.
 
The Phobians who dominated the game from start to finish, opened the scores in the in 9th minute through Joseph Esso.
 
Esso made it 2 in the 35th minute to end the half, 2-0 in favour of the Phobians who made a return to the Accra sports stadium after over a year of playing at adopted home grounds due to the renovation of the stadium for the 2018 Women’s AFCON.
 
Back from recess, and the Phobians will continue with their possession play but failed to add to the tally in terms of goals.
 
Dreams grabbed a goal via the penalty spot through captain Patrick Arthur in the 65th minute. However it only turned out to be a consolation as Hearts of Oak managed to hold on till the final whistle to clinch their first trophy this year.
