Kotoko Move To Camp Today Ahead Of Sunday’s Clash With Ashgold In J.A. Kuffuor Cup

on

Kumasi Asante Kotoko will start camping today as they prepare for their titanic clash against Ashantigold on Sunday in the JA Kuffour Cup, slated for the Baba Yara stadium.

Coach Akonnor’s men were given a few days off after seeing off Kariobangi Sharks of Kenya in the CAF Confederations Cup an action that saw them sail into the final play-off round.

The team has resumed training and will leave for camping after this afternoon’s training session at the Adako Jachie training park.

Both Asante Kotoko and Ashantigold are preparing feverishly to honour the match come Sunday at the Baba Yara stadium.

The J. A. Kuffour Cup match, which is to celebrate the 80th birthday of the former President, was launched in August this year and is powered by Primeval Media.

Proceeds of the charity match, which is being organised by Primeval Media, will go to the John Agyekum Kufuor (JAK) Foundation for the developments and leadership projects under the foundation.

The J. A. Kuffour Cup will be the tiebreaker for the two Ashanti Region clubs who have scores to settle to each other, having played each other twice, in the off-season, and either side winning at home by 3-2.
