“Yacouba And I Never Exchanged Blows”- Felix Annan

on

Goalkeeper of Asante Kotoko, Felix Annan has rubbished news in the media that he and striker Yacouba Sogne exchanged blows in the dressing room last Sunday.

According to the goalkeeper, they had an argument in the dressing room after the game as he tried to advice his colleague on his behaviour on the pitch during their 1-1 drawn game against Ashatigold in the JA Kuffour Cup.

The player took to his twitter page to explain what actually happened adding that they are both cool and looking forward to their next assignment in the CAF Confederations Cup match this weekend.

What Happened On The Pitch?

This whole story emanated from the second half of the game when Asante Kotoko had a free kick and Yacouba Sogne took the ball to effect the kick. Head coach CK Akonnor is said to have instructed Yacouba to leave it for Emmnauel Gyamfi, an action that angered the striker who was seen throwing his hands and calling for him to be substituted.

Most of the fans who witnessed that act from the Burkinabe international booed at him after the game, and this according to Felix, was what he was talking to the player about in the dressing room.

“We never exchanged blows as reported by the media! It was just a verbally exchange of words for the improvement and way forward for our darling club to success! We are best friends and everything has be resolved!Fully Focused on the task ahead in Cameroon”, he added.
