GPL Week 11: SC Medeama Stun Inter Allies In Accra As Ashantigold Beat Dreams

on

Fans of Inter Allies left the Accra sports stadium unhappy following a shocking 1-2 defeat at the hands of SC Medeama in the Ghana Premier League week 11 fixture.

The home side went into the game on the high after beating Berekum Chelsea in match week 10 on the road and this was one of the many reasons the fans were in a confident mood prior to kickoff.

The visitors grabbed the opening goal through Babil Nana Kofi an action that ended the first half 0-1.

Back from recess and SC Medeama will continue from where they left off dominating proceedings and they increased their lead through Prince Opoku Agyemang in the 62nd minute.

With 2 minutes to end the game, star striker Victorien Adebayor strick a goal back to give the Allies fans some ray of hope. However, it just turned out to be a consolation as SC Medeama managed to hold on till the final whistle.

At the Akoon park, Hearts of Oak held Karela FC to a goalless drawn game whilst Eleven Wonders also drew 1-1 with WAFA.

At the Obuasi Len Clay Stadium, Abdulai Ibrahim’s 80th-minute goal was enough for Ashgold as they beat Dreams FC 1-0.

Elmina Sharks also beat Ebusua Dwarfs 1-0 at the Ndoum Park.

Three games will be played tomorrow (Thursday) and they include, King Faisal vs Legon Cities, Bechem United vs Liberty Professionals and Great Olympics vs Berekum Chelsea
