Hearts Appoint Wellington as Assistant Coach


Accra Hearts of Oak is delighted to annouce the appointment of Henry Lamptey Wellington as the assistant coach of the club.

The former Heart of Lions, King Faisal, Kotoko and Hasaacas coach has joined the club on a two-year deal.

Acting Managing Director of the club said: “Henry Wellington is a tried-and-tested coach. When we look at his competency, when we look at what he brings to the team, we are pretty confident that he fits the bill for a very good assistant coach.

“He is going to lead us for the G-Six and he will continue to build the team for the start of the 2016/17 season on the 18th of December.”

Coach Wellington also said: “I am happy to join this family and I am looking forward to getting straight to work. I thank the Board, Management, and the whole Hearts fraternity for the opportunity to join this great club.”
