Samuel Sarfo Brace Seals First Win For Al Khaleej In Saudi League


Ghanaian international Samuel Sarfo hit a brace on Tuesday night to help his side Al Khaleej record its first win of the Saudi Arabian league season.

The former Liberty Professionals defender was again named in the team’s starting XI and played the entire duration of the game, one that he has done in the team’s last two opening league matches both of which ended in draws.

Sarfo scored the first of his two goals in the 44th minute after soaring high above all his colleagues to head home the goal from a corner kick.

The goal was the second from Al Khaleej after one of his colleagues had put them in front earlier on in the game.

The former FC Saipa defender in a similar fashion, headed home from another corner kick in the 83rd minute to scored his side’s 3rd and a personal brace.

The hosts, Al Jabalain rallied back and grabbed a goal in the 89th minute but it was only a consolation as Sarfo’s and his team managed to hold on till the final whistle for their first three points of the season.
