WAFU 2019: Ghana Edge Out Burkina Faso To Qualify For Semis


Ghana beat Burkina Faso 5-4 on penalties to qualify to the semifinals of the 2019 WAFU Championship.

The Black Stars B were given a dealt an early blow when Ilina Teindrebeogo broke the deadlock in the 3rd minute.

Captain Shafiu Mumuni restored parity in the 39th minute.

In the penalty shootout, coach Maxwell Konadu’s men converted 5 of their 6 kicks whilst Burkina Faso converted 4.
