Youngster Kwasi Awuah Joins Israeli Giants Maccabi Netanya

Israeli Giants Maccabi Netanya has snapped young Ghanaian prodigy Kwasi Awuah on a one year deal.

The former Club Royal Golden Academy youngster sealed the deal this week after impressing the coaches of the team who wasted no time to acquire his signature for the new season which has already started.

Awuah, a household name in Dormaa Ahenkro where the team is based went on trials at Cape Town City FC early this year and though he made the grade, opted for Maccabi Netanya following an offer he received that both he and his agent Noam Shammah couldn’t refuse.

Though no monetary aspects of the deal were not made available, www.ghanasoccernews.com sources close to the player has it that both parties are happy with the offer, hence the decision to append his signature to the Club’s documents.

The deal, though is for one year is likely to be extended.

The 18-year-old forward was part of Paa Kwasi Fabian’s Starlets team in 2016 but fell out due to injury.

He also played for Mozambican premier league side, Liga Desportiva U19 in 2017/18.
